Sunday Funday Old Port (Portland Maine) Street Photography
I got a notification on my Facebook wall from a group for photographers of a Street Photography Walk-About. Now, I didn't know what that meant, and I sure can tell you I have never been on one. 16+ people registered to go on this event. However, the day before 10 of them realized that they would rather be in Florida than come out and craft some images. Now I don't blame them, as I did't know what I was getting out/in to. It was about 30 degrees, which felt in below 0 due to the wind chill factor. Mainers know about wind chill factor. I almost wished I would have wore gloves and a beanie and a scarf.
I ended up walking almost 5 miles with these guys and I will say It was worth it. I didn't know what to shoot, how to shoot it, why, when. Also I think this gave me a chance to get out of my comfy zone by meeting other creatives and shooting something I've never shot. Everyone was friendly and there talkative! So shout out to Chris for spearheading it!
